A one day workshop for Stagecoach Teachers, Managers and Principals
Whether you're new to Stagecoach teaching or would just like a refresh on great practice, this one day workshop explores theory and practice through engaging activities and professional conversations to support excellence in performing arts teaching and learning!
This day of development builds on great teaching skills and addresses some of the challenges in facilitating engaging lessons such as effective grouping, planning for all abilities and class control within a creative environment. You will be nurtured through the basics of great teaching strategies to support Singers, Dancers and Actors in encouraging the best behaviours for learning from all students.
Lunch and refreshments are provided for this workshop - please do stay for lunch to network with colleagues.
Explore... Great Teaching starts at 11.30. If you have never attended a Stagecoach Education event before, please arrive at 10.15 for a 10.30 start for a one hour Foundations Fast Track session. This is an introduction to the Stagecoach Way.

Course Facilitator: Louisa Roberts B.Ed. (Hons) AST NPQSL FRSA
Louisa is Head of Educational Programmes and Training at Stagecoach Performing Arts. She is a singer and vocal specialist with an extensive educational background as a Head of Department of Performing Arts in Primary and Secondary Schools and most recently as an Assistant Headteacher and Inclusion Manager in North London. In this role, Louisa supported students with barriers to learning in accessing the primary curriculum. Facilitating continuing professional development previously as an Area Leader with Trinity College London, Guildhall, The Open University, Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA) and Music Hubs she has facilitated workshops, mentored and supported teachers, education leaders and performers throughout the world for over 20 years. She sings Soprano in a number of chamber vocal ensembles including Sine Nomine International Touring Choir and The Joyful Company of Singers.
