A workshop to accompany the Performance strand in the German Rahmenlehrplan

This collaborative Cluster Learning Hub event is specifically designed to accompany the Production and Stagecraft strand of the Stagecoach Rahmenlehrplan.
This highly interactive one day workshop will be led by Jo Howson, and will be split into two phases.
Jo will lead a half-day workshop, offering a comprehensive and practical guide to planning and leading your school in delivering an outstanding production.

The other portion of the day will be a 'collaborative exchange' workshop, focussing on the topic 'How do we work together to prepare students for a production?'.
You have been asked to prepare one or two class exercises for students in relation to preparing for a production. Please consider the following:
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
Meals: Please bring water and something to eat for the lunch break
Refreshments: Coffee, tea and cookies will be provided

Jo Howson was Head of Drama of at a school in East London for a number of years and holds over 10 years of teaching experience. She has won the national GTC Teacher award for Excellence in Professional Development and the Jack Petchy Award for Outstanding Service to Young People. She holds Qualified Teacher Status, a Distinction from a Masters Degree course in Performance Research from Central School of Speech and Drama and a First Class Degree in Literature and Theatre Studies from the University of Warwick. Jo is passionate about teaching that helps students realise the value of their own creativity. Drama can help challenge students' perceptions about themselves and the world around them and celebrate both the successes and failures in performance, helping the students to grow. She believes outstanding Drama teaching equips students with a joy and confidence that radiates in every role, character or part they play. This can be life-changing!
