Workshop facilitator - Simon Kane from the Stagecoach Education & Learning Team
We’re delighted to welcome Simon who is bringing his experience, skills and knowledge of theatre, teaching and professional development facilitation to the core Education & Learning Team. Simon trained in Drama at the University of Bristol and CCM, USA. He has directed productions including The Grand Budapest Hotel for Youth Music Theatre UK and Sitting With Thistle at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre.
As an Associate/Resident Director, he has worked on productions including The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, In The Heights and American Idiot. He has also directed and run workshops for Chickenshed Theatre, in schools, taught LAMDA examinations, and was Drama Department Head of a US Summer camp.
We’re so fortunate that he has also been a teacher with the business for many years and will be leaving his role at Stagecoach Highgate later this year to focus on his new support centre role where he leads the Further Stages + accredited enrichment programme for students aged 14-18.
