Anchor Lane
Glasgow heavy rock band Anchor Lane have become a regular fixture on the Scottish music scene. Taking influence from rock greats such as Queen, Black Stone Cherry, Alter Bridge, Rival Sons and Foo Fighters, their innovative blend of gritty modern rock has had them gaining fans and winning over critics with their energetic live shows.
Anchor Lane have rapidly grown in stature and reputation, steadily building momentum and picking up rave reviews with their own headline shows and key guest slots. They were included in Scottish Sun columnist Jim Gellatly’s ‘Ones To Watch’ and were the featured band in national newspaper Scotland On Sunday’s ‘Under The Radar’ column as well as performing on STV2’s ‘Live At Five’.

Tip in a bucketful of rock, add ten scoops of roll, pour in a bottle of blues, a glass of boogie, a jigger of southern, a pinch of country, five jars of fun & a barrel of good time! Influences are early Status Quo, The Georgia Satellites, Dan Baird, Chuck Berry, Big Joe Louis, AC/DC, George Thorogood & The Destroyers, Jason & The Scorchers, Dogs D'Amour, The Ramones, ZZ Top, The Cult, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Newton Faulkner, Seasick Steve, Reef, Primal Scream, BB King, the Stones, Dr Feelgood.

Information
The Vault Arts Centre is located in the former bank building at 40 Victoria Street, Newton Stewart, between Boots Chemists (to the right) and Avocet (to the left).
A regular bus service (X75/500) runs through Newton Stewart, with stops on Victoria Street just a short walking distance from the venue.
Parking is available on Victoria Street, however we would recommend parking at Riverside Car Park, on Riverside Road, in order to reduce congestion. Riverside Car Park is within a short walking distance of the venue.
