Seventeen year old, Singer/Songwriter Kate Kyle, whose unique blend of soulful country and powerful voice is establishing herself in the Scottish music scene. Having recently released her 5 - track debut EP entitled ‘Where I’m Going’, Kate’s music has been met with a great deal of accolade – “possibly the finest song-writing I’ve heard from someone of this age” – Bruce McKenzie D&G Life Magazine.
Accompanied by her guitar Kate performs regularly at gigs locally as well as events including Celtic Connections in Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall (where she was placed on the ‘Highly Recommended Artist’ list), Eden Festival, Edinburgh Hidden Door Festival, Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival, Scottish Parliament, Resonate Live 2018, Millport Country Music Festival, among others.
Kate has achieved many accolades for her song-writing and performance including D&G Music Festival for composition and song-writing, winner of Maidens of Music 2018 and this year’s Cultural Award for Year of Young People. Kate was recently shortlisted for the BBC Radio Scotland Singer Songwriter Award.
