Inkfields began in Dresden, Germany with a spontaneous after work street music experiment .Inkfields has led Samuel (the creator) through Sweden, into Southern Germany (Baden Württemberg) and finally to Edinburgh, Scotland, where he’s currently based. The music has been forged through thousands of hours of street music across dozens of cities in Europe. From -12 degrees to +40 degrees, through rain, snow, wind and sun, Samuel has been out in all weathers. The very way he writes and performs has been sculpted through what has often been a tough, but rewarding life on the road. Over the years the music has journeyed through different genres and matured with time. With the release of the second album ‘The Third Side of the Coin’, it seems that Samuel has finally found ‘the sound’ he was searching for.
Inkfields second album 'The Third Side of the Coin' was nominated for the Scottish album of the year awards (SAY Awards). The SAY Award is Scotland's national music prize; celebrating Scottish music, and the cultural impact and contribution of outstanding Scottish Albums. Produced by the Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA).
'Glorious offering' Jim Gellatly, Amazing Radio
