Event description

The Darker my Horizon is a UK based modern melodic hard rock band, mixing the sound of late 80’s arena giants with todays techniques & stadium fillers. Their debut album "Acquiesce" was released late March 2015 to quite the fanfare. 2016's follow up "No Superhero" cemented The Darker my Horizon's credentials. Both albums sitting it dozens of Top 20 albums of the year.

These songs, a mixture a hard rocking anthems to heartfelt ballads lead to headline & festival appearances all over the UK, and high profile billing with the likes of Nazareth, Enuff Z'nuff, Geoff Tate's Operation:Mindcrime, Steve Grimmett's Grim Reaper, Leatherwolf, Tony Wright (Terrorvision), Eric Martin (Mr Big) and many many more.

An E.P in 2018 - Phoenix: Vol One - was a very welcome stop-gap (featuring the very popular "Spit" & "Natali") until album #3..."Seize The Day" (2019). The reaction was phenomenal, songs like "Carpe Diem" & "Still Alive" have garnered 10's of thousands of views and an amazingly positive response. Up there with "Dear Olivia" from No Superhero.

The Darker my Horizon t released their fourth album "When Two Worlds Collide" (2022) and have performed live in support. Often described as one of the UK's hardest working proudly independent rock bands.

The guys have also played in Prague (at Europe's biggest - their flagship - Hard Rock Cafe) & in France. Headlined Bognor Rox Festival and headlined stage two at Hard Rock Hell 14. At 16 they're going back to perform on the main stage. They have also played at iconic venues all over the UK: The Underworld Camden, Under The Bridge, London's 02, The O2 Leicester, Hanger 18 Swansea, KK's Steel Mill, The Robin 2, Bannerman’s Edinburgh and more.

The band is songwriter Paul Stead - lead vocals and guitar. Mark Stephenson - lead guitar. Paul Hamilton - bass. Russ Barnett - drums. Here is a wee bit of the boys in action

Unfortunately Damaged Goods cannot make this gig but we have the marvellous Firth from Dumfries playing instead.

Firth are an Alternative/Grunge three piece that have been hitting South West Scotland and North West England by storm and recently played at The Long Arm Weekender in Glasgow to great acclaim.
